The house is organized around a patio oriented accordingly to tackle the factors of view and daylight. The natural terrain and the views of the land were elements crucial to the design. The visitor enters from the patio’s highest point. There, the movements are distributed around the three zones of the house – the master bedroom, the guest rooms and lounge area - and the swimming pool. The patio follows the sloping terrain and descends gradually through a path of terraces and seating areas leading the visitor to the view. Its final level, in combination with the airy living room, constitutes an expanded covered balcony. Its transparent roof bears the pool-observatory. The patio and pool function as vital living spaces. The bedrooms maintain their privacy while also referring to the patio and the sea view.

The section of the house creates a microcosm of spaces and movements, forming a path that bypasses enclosed spaces and ends up outside the residence. In this way, the visitor can access the sea in front of the residence directly from the central private patio. The morphology of the volumes expresses each separate function. The rough materials are in dialogue with the topos. The separate volumes are embraced by a curved, unifying skin that holds the whole building together and forms an acute, yet silent gesture of intervention on the untouched mediterranean landscape.
